Californians may see fewer emotional support animals in local stores, restaurants, and other public spaces as soon as this year with Governor Gavin Newsom’s signing AB 468 into law.

Rocklin’s population spike was the highest across cities in the Sacramento region
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, about 71,601 people currently live in Rocklin, which is a 26% increase in population from the 56,974 residents who lived there in 2010, according to new Census 2020 data. Rocklin’s population increase is more than double the rate of growth seen across the Sacramento region. No other local city grew faster.

ASI announces COVID-19 surveillance testing for staff of Children’s Center
Sacramento State’s Associated Students, Inc. Board of Directors approved COVID-19 surveillance testing for the Children’s Center staff and passed a resolution that recommends the implementation of trigger warnings in faculty and student presentations in a board meeting Wednesday.

ASI registers 1,767 students to vote in Buzz the Ballot campaign
Sacramento State’s Associated Students, Inc. registered 1,767 students to vote in its Buzz the Ballot campaign, registering more than double its goal and placing Sac State third in the statewide Ballot Bowl.

The WELL to reopen outdoors Thursday
The WELL at Sacramento State will reopen Thursday for outdoor socially distanced fitness and recreation after being approved by Sac State administration and Sacramento County. Reservations are required for some equipment use.
